A WA man fighting for life after a nightmare holiday scooter accident has landed in Perth . Clarkson carpenter Shane Ramsey was critically injured when he crashed in Bali , Seminyak on Sunday morning. He underwent emergency brain surgery and remains in a coma, but his family was able to secure a medical evacuation flight home. He landed in Perth about 5.15pm on Thursday and will be taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital’s intensive care unit.
Ramsey did not have travel insurance and generous donors have contributed more than $100,000 to cover his mounting medical costs. His parents have flagged they could sell their house to pay for the flight and his ongoing treatment. “His family would like to say that they have no words to express their level of gratitude towards all who have donated,” campaign organiser and family friend Amyleigh Mitchell told 7NEWS.com.au on Wednesday.
