A video purportedly of August Marriott, 27, went viral after he allegedly became enraged when he arrived Wednesday and a staffer pointed out he was late for his appointmentThis article originally stated that Marriott allegedly became irate when he arrived at the shop and a staffer pointed out that he was late for his appointment.
Marriott allegedly arrived shortly before 7 p.m. last Wednesday and became irate after a staffer asked if he had an appointment and, when he said no, they followed up with a question about whether he had tried to make one online. Despite being told they could accommodate him, he became enraged, a worker told NBC 7.
During the episode — which was captured on cell phone video and has been posted to various social-media platforms — Marriott purportedly vandalized the business, threatened employees and threw shampoo bottles at them, leaving one person with minor injuries, sheriff's Sgt. Stephen Chambers said. Marriott left the salon prior to the arrival of deputies. Investigators subsequently identified him as the alleged perpetrator of the violent outburst,"thanks to many tips from the public," the sergeant said.
