'For an upper middle income country with some of the tallest skyscrapers in the world, it’s a big shame that we cannot maintain our public toilets properly.' - Tan Sri Mohd Sheriff Mohd Kassim
IT is to the credit of the new Local Government and Development Minister Nga Kor Ming that he is making it his personal crusade to make our public toilets clean. Somebody has to do the dirty job, and he is showing that he is prepared to do it.
It’s a thankless job, but if the minister can introduce the awareness that cleanliness matters, he will have made a major contribution towards making Malaysia a respectable country. Nothing is more disgusting than going into a messy and dirty public toilet.
