A Malaysian woman received much praise online for defending her choice to be a delivery rider after an old acquaintance accused her of “bringing shame to our group of friends”, reported China Press.
The woman, known only as Joan Lew, posted the disparaging message from the acquaintance online after they found out about her profession as a rider when she delivered a package to their home.
“Even though what I earn every month is enough only for us to get by, I have a happy family. I have a husband, children, mother, and siblings who love me. They are my motivation ,” she said. >Taiwanese rock band Mayday revealed that the group and Malaysian singer Victor Wong Pin Kuan go way back and had known each other for more than 20 years, reported Sin Chew Daily.
“Brother Pin Kuan took us out for dinner and brought us to a pub to listen to music. We were very touched ,” the band’s frontman Ashin said during their concert in Taiwan on Jan 7.
