City Finance Director John Potts projects another unencumbered cash reserve of about $29.5 million both this year and next.
Collaborating with Cuyahoga County through a Community Development Supplemental Grant , Shaker Heights recently completed a consolidated parking pilot along the Lee Road corridor. The project combined the parking lots of six commercial buildings to create two large shared lots, also eliminating four driveways in the process.SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Council has approved a 2025 budget that includes a 2.25 percent cost-of-living adjustment for all non-union city employees.
“We’re going back, taking a look and re-evaluating whether we think the annex is still the correct place for expansion of office space there or whether a new building or possibly an addition to City Hall might be advisable,” Weiss said. After adding a few positions in 2024 but eliminating three more, next year’s budget creates five new posts:
-- Financial and Magazine Publication Assistant, replacing a senior administrative position to reflect additional financial management duties for Shaker Life magazine.
