Shake Shack, the massively successful burger concept from restaurateur Danny Meyer that started in New York City’s Madison Square Park, says not so fast. The global chain is rolling out a fine-dining experience called the Truffle Table between Feb. 27 and Mar. 2 in 10 U.S. cities, including in Houston — with a more affordable price tag.
Houstonians can book a table at the Rice Village location at 6205 Kirby Drive for dinner at 6 or 8 p.m. for $20 per person. The white truffle menu includes a four-ounce burger, mushroom burger and Parmesan fries with unlimited wine, a shake and chocolate truffles. Diners will also receive a bottle of truffle oil from Regalis, which sources the restaurant's edible fungi.
“We can’t wait to test this new fine dining experience with our guests to honor one of the most exquisite and luxurious ingredients in our pantry, the white truffle,” said John Karangis, Shake Shack’s executive chef and vice president of culinary innovation, in a statement.
