The Seward Highway is closed in both directions due to a vehicle rollover at Beluga Point south of Anchorage, according to a police alert.
The alert was issued at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The driver of the vehicle that rolled suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman Renee Oistad. She said police were waiting for the vehicle to be towed.
It was not immediately clear how long the highway would remain closed. Drivers reported traffic delays on social media.pullout along Turnagain Arm located 6 1/2 miles south of Anchorage city limits.
