A pedestrian was killed late Saturday night after he was hit by a pickup truck at the Peters Creek exit on Glenn Highway, Anchorage police say.
The man, who was not identified, was struck by the truck that was northbound on the highway, police said in anThe man had entered the lane of travel on the highway when he was struck, police spokeswoman Renee Oistad said Monday. Oistad said she could not provide any additional information and said the investigation is ongoing.
Police responded to reports of the incident at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday, they said. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, police said. No citations have been issued; the investigation is ongoing.A 20-year-old man after he “entered Abbott Road running northbound” and was struck by a Dodge Ram, police said. The truck’s driver was charged with operating under the influence.
