Multiple states are bracing for 48 hours of severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall as large parts of the country are forecast to ring in a wet end to spring.
NSW's State Emergency Service issued a warning to residents across the southern parts of the state, the ACT and possiblyDamaging winds reaching 150km/h and heavy rainfall which could lead to flash flooding are on the way, the SES said today.The thunderstorms are rolling in across southern Australia today.
"Ahead of the thunderstorm risk tomorrow, you should take time to prepare your homes," NSW SES Assistant Commissioner Colin Malone said. Flash flooding could also pose a risk and motorists are warned to never try and cross a flooded road.
