Incident on the eastbound carriageway between J2 and J3 while traffic is also slow westbound 'due to onlookers'
Drivers are facing 'severe delays' on the M65 this morning following reports of a multi-vehicle crash.
One lane is closed on the eastbound carriageway between junction two for Clayton Brook and junction three for Blackburn West due to a collision involving three cars and a van, according to traffic alert service Inrix. Congestion is back to junction one at the M6 interchange. Inrix also reports that there is queuing traffic on the westbound carriageway 'due to onlookers'. Congestion to J1 and traffic is queuing on the opposite side due to onlookers with queues back to J4 .Sensors confirm traffic was very briefly held in order to recover the vehicles involved. Residual queues remain.
