Koc was a standout among a roster filled with talent in 2023. His ability to find the back of the net fueled Seven Lakes to reach the UIL Class 6A state tournament for the second consecutive season. After a loss in the semifinals last year, the Spartans took care of business this time around andFor his efforts toward that historical accomplishment, Koc is the All-Greater Houston Boys Soccer Player of the Year.
Krueger guided the Spartans to the first state championship in program history. Seven Lakes defeated Garland Sachse 3-1 in overtime in the semifinals before outlasting Dripping Springs 2-1 in the finale. Seven Lakes was unbeaten in 29 straight matches and finished with a 28-1-1 overall record.Ferrer showed plenty of potential in his first high school season, earning District 19-6A Newcomer of the Year honors as Tompkins narrowly missed the playoffs. He finished with 10 goals and six assists.
They did just that as Koc’s older brother, Ty, watched from the stands at Birkelbach Field in Georgetown. It was a special moment for the siblings, who got to play on the same team for one year when Ty was a senior in 2022.
