Can you open your home to a dog in need?

Like many rescue centres across the UK, Freshfields Animal Rescue in Sefton is seeing unprecedented numbers of animals without homes. From pets being handed in, to strays found walking the streets, rescue centres are "bursting" as they urge people to think before they buy.

Pixie is 12 and likes a walk but gets tired after around 20 minutes. Bay is 11 and has been with Pixie his entire life and looks for her for reassurance. As his confidence grows, he has become affectionate but still suffers anxiety and has a nervous nature. Due to this he is looking for an adult only home with no other animals. More about Pumpkin can be found here.Oscar came as a stray and was never claimed so his life before is unknown. However, staff say his behaviour would suggest it's not a very pleasant one.
