SEPTA buses will replace mid-day trains between Fox Chase and Wayne Junction stations for several months due to scheduled work.
Starting Monday, January 5, 2026 -- and lasting through Friday, April 3, 2026 -- buses will replace midday trains between the Fox Chase and Wayne Junction stations. SEPTA is working to install new track along the Fox Chase line, and, starting Monday buses will replace the trains that regularly service this area.
NBC10’s Lili Zheng has details. Starting Monday, some SEPTA riders will notice service changes on the Fox Chase Line over the next several months due to planned construction. That's because, weekdays beginning Monday, January 5, 2026, through Friday, April 3, 2026, buses will replace midday trains between the Fox Chase and Wayne Junction stations.According to the transit agency, the change will be made while crews install new track along the Fox Chase Line to provide a smoother ride for customers. On weekdays from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., the transit agency said bus service will be provided at Fox Chase, Ryers, Cheltenham, Lawndale, and Olney stations, with a train connection at Wayne Junction Station.
