Selma Police are investigating the city’s second homicide of the year — following a fatal shooting in the city Friday night.Pauline Chaney of Selma — is a mother who’s making funeral arrangements — to bury her son. Thirty-seven year old Titus Chaney was shot Friday night — on the 100 block of Alabama Avenue — and later died.Brittney Morton and Danny Jackson, Jr. say they were there and saw the shooting incident unfold.

They say it started when an argument between Titus and his ex-girlfriend — escalated — and turned physical. “They was just tussling you know, they weren’t really fighting. And she dropped her purse,” said Morton.“Then we just seen her just raising on up and just firing at him,” said Jackson. “And she stood over him and fired some more.”

Selma Police have confirmed that they do have a suspect in case — but Chaney’s family want police to do more.“She’s from Selma. And she’s running. I don’t feel the police is doing enough. Her face should be all over the news cause this is a murder,” said Morton.A second person who was shot in that shooting — was taken to the hospital — treated and released.
