The Longhorns were picked to make the conference championship game, garnering the second most votes in the Preseason SEC Football Media Poll that was released on Friday.Texas garnered 3041 total points and 27 votes for the Longhorns to win the SEC Championship. That was second only to Georgia, who had 3,330 points and 165 votes to win the conference title.Since 1992, the team picked to win the SEC championship game in the preseason poll has only gone on to win it nine times.
