Light showers will continue on Monday, followed by a drier New Year's Eve. Expect a few light showers throughout the day, with temperatures in the mid-40s. Western Washington will see a break from the rain Monday night, but light showers will return for New Year's Eve celebrations.

Light showers will continue through the daylight hours Monday, with a drier New Year’s Eve ahead. Monday will be more dry than wet, with a few light showers in the mix. High temperatures will be a bit cooler today, in the mid 40s. Snow levels will hover between 2,500 and 3,000 feet on Monday. An additional 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible. Western Washington will get a brief break from the rain Monday night through most of New Year’s Eve.

If you are heading out for New Year’s Eve celebrations, be prepared for some light showers starting at around 8:00 PM and continuing through the countdown to the new year. Expect light showers on Wednesday and Thursday morning. A stronger system will hit on Friday, bringing breezy conditions and widespread rain to the lowlands. Snow levels will be higher, so most of the lower mountain passes will just be wet. Showers will continue through the weekend
