Outside linebacker hasn’t changed much, but inside linebacker has for this year’s Seahawks.
Seattle Seahawks training camp is underway! We’re in the middle of padded practices, which means we should see more physical play as we near closer to the Aug. 10 preseason opener. For the rest of this week, we will have key questions across every defensive position. This article will focus on the outside and inside linebackers. Not a lot changed for Seattle in terms of edge rushers, but there will be a key player returning from injury who will hopefully boost a wildly inconsistent pass rush.
Will the missed practice time be costly? Tyrel Dodson and Jerome Baker were free agent signings from the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins, respectively. Baker was on IR to end his final season in Miami, whereas Dodson had a Week 18 injury but played through it in the AFC Divisional Round against the Kansas City Chiefs. Their ailments meant not participating in OTAs or mandatory minicamp.
