SEATTLE — Beth’s Cafe, the iconic diner located near Green Lake in Seattle, is set to reopen Thursday, July 8.“For safety and practical considerations, Beth’s decided to close while restaurants were at 25-50% capacity; it simply wasn’t sustainable for us. But now that all restrictions have been lifted, we’re ba-a-a-c-c-k-k!”with plans to reopen in three to six months or “whenever COVID is more under control.
Located on Aurora Avenue North, Beth’s Cafe opened in 1954 as a nickel slot gambling parlor and transitioned into a restaurant shortly afterward. The diner, best known for its greasy spoon breakfast food, was featured in a 2009 episode of “Man v.
