Hundreds are expected to participate in 'No Kings' protests across Washington state on Saturday, with a Seattle rally starting at Colman Dock and marching to Cal Anderson Park. The Seattle Police Department is collaborating with organizers to ensure safety, deploying personnel and its Police Outreach and Engagement Team to manage the anticipated crowds and address any potential issues while allowing the demonstration to proceed primarily under organizer control.

The rally in Seattle starts at 11 am at Colman Dock on Seattle's waterfront, and the group will then march to Cal Anderson Park at 11:30. The organization has staged multiple protests against the Trump administration since last spring, mobilizing millions of people in cities across the country. Protesters have demonstrated in rallies and marches against various government entities, including the president himself, executive agencies, and other Republican officials.“We are going to do what we can to help make sure that everyone is safe, and one of the things we are going to do is have a bunch of personnel on hand ready to deal with any issues,” said Asst. Chief Tyrone Davis. In addition to traffic elements to keep people safe and protect them while they are marching, SPD has also been relying on its Police Outreach and Engagement Team, or POET, to prepare for Saturday’s anticipated crowds. “They really work proactively with the organizers to meet with them before the event and figure out what their goals are,” Davis said. “We, in turn, try to share with them what our concepts are in terms of how we are going to work with them collaboratively to keep everyone safe for the event." Davis said SPD officers want to stay in the background and let the demonstration proceed and be handled for the most part by the organizers. “The only thing that kind of puts us in a position where we need to be involved is if there is significant property damage,” Davis said. “I think the other part would be just making sure that nobody is going to get hurt or injured."Donald Trump has dismissed the idea that he acts like a king, mocking the protests and their participants. In October 2025, when a “No Kings” protest was underway, he posted a video on social media depicting him wearing a crown in a fighter jet that dumped poop onto New York City protesters. Indivisible, which helped organize that demonstration, has asserted that its efforts are in defense of democracy. Why is it called "No Kings"? Previously, protesters have called for Trump to be “dethroned” as they compare his actions to those of a king and not a democratically elected president.President Trump wants to be a dictator," organizers said. "But Americans bow to No Kings: He’s using orders, intimidation, and the full force of the federal government to crush dissent—seeking to control what schools teach, what news and voices we hear, and weaponizing the Department of Justice against his critics."Investigators alleged Allen-Bailey shot Geda, stole his car, then left him to die in the street.Professional golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a crash in Jupiter on Friday afternoon.Hundreds across the state are expected to join nationwide “No Kings” protests on Saturday, according to event organizers.Indivisible, which helped organize thatA U.S. Coast Guard rescue swimmer has died after being injured while on a medical evacuation mission off the Washington coast. But before he passed away ThursdayPolice arrested a 28-year-old Burien man who was behind the wheel of a stolen car when he fled and crashed early Friday.
