"We have exhausted all ground and aerial searches," the sheriff's office said. "We have investigated every tip." The sheriff's office said they will continue to follow up on leads and will keep Kash's information posted on social media on on flyers throughout the city. "This of course is not what we hoped for. We believe that someone may have him and does not realize he is a missing police K9," the sheriff's office said.Stephanie Dinsmore, Public Information Officer for the Davis County Sheriff's Office, said an administrative review has been initiated to "ensure something like this does not happen again."
"These dogs are not just a tool to our department, they are valuable members of our team and this is very upsetting that this happened and we want to ensure that he comes back safely," she said.
