After four days of scouring an East Bexar County landfill for the remains of missing San Antonio area real estate agent Suzanne Simpson, police have ended their search there. Suzanne Simpson was last seen on Oct. 6. Her husband Brad Simpson remains in Bexar County Jail in lieu of $2 million bail. He's facing domestic violence charges and a felony charge for illegally owning an unregistered firearm.

The search for Suzanne Simpson During the search this week, hundreds of vultures and grackles circled the sky, sat on a fence and peppered the soil at the search site. The sounds of heavy machinery working through piles of trash and whistling bird deterrents could be heard. At times, investigators gathered to confer. For three days, the search team included police cadets from San Antonio Police Department and the Bexar County Sheriff's Department.
