Sunday night, we heard from Suzanne Simpson ’s mother for the first time, at a candlelight vigil. Suzanne’s mother told us she doesn't think her daughter is alive and knew about a prior altercation between the couple.
“I just don’t understand, I don’t understand why it happened. It wasn’t part of their life, or his behavior and I’ve known him a long time," said Clark. "Sometimes we don't know everything that the loved one is going through. Other times, we're trying to piece together what types of domestic violence they might even be facing, right? There's emotional, there's financial, there's physical, there's psychological," said Sumner.
