Authorities no longer believe they will find 64-year-old Elizabeth Pollard alive after she fell into a sinkhole in western Pennsylvania. The search, which began Monday evening when Pollard went out looking for her cat, has not yielded any signs of life. Emergency crews have been searching for two days, following reports of a freshly opened sinkhole near the location where Pollard's vehicle was found with her unharmed granddaughter inside.

The sinkhole is situated in the village of Marguerite, approximately 40 miles east of Pittsburgh. Authorities warn that the roof of the mine has collapsed in several places, making the area unstable
