<p>WASHINGTON, Washington County — The U.S. Navy called off a search for a missing Utah sailor who was last seen a week ago in Guam, where his ship was making a regular port call.
</p><p>Petty Officer 2nd Class Gabriel D. Holt, of Washington, was last seen around midnight on April 18, near the Hotel Nikko and Gun Beach, according to the Guam Police Department.</p><p>Holt was assigned to the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier and officially reported missing Saturday morning, according to a press release issued by the Carrier Strike Group 11 public affairs office of the United States Navy.</p><p>The resulting search for Holt lasted 130 hours, covered over 11,000 square nautical miles and involved numerous naval assets and personnel, the U.S. Coast Guard and local emergency response agencies.</p><p><strong><a href="https://www.stgeorgeutah.com/news/search-ends-for-missing-washington-city-sailor-us-navy-expresses-condolences/article_8bc82d65-7768-4d2e-b8c7-00ee4cb21550.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Read the full article at St. George News</a></strong>.</p>
