The Seattle Seahawks have made adjustments to both their practice squad and active roster ahead of their season finale against the Los Angeles Rams . Two players were signed to the 53-man roster, while two were placed on injured reserve, and another two from the practice squad were elevated just for the gameday roster. Cornerback Artie Burns and nose tackle Brandon Pili were signed from the practice squad to the active roster.
Seahawks reporter John Boyle notes that Pili is out with an illness, so other than the financial benefit of being active on the gameday roster, he’s not going to be playing. Burns returns to the active roster following a knee injury to Josh Jobe. Not that this matters a whole lot, but Jobe and right tackle Abe Lucas were placed on injured reserve. The Seahawks’ season is over after Sunday, so there’s zero to be alarmed about Jobe and Lucas just going on IR in order to make room for Burns and Pili. Defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna and tight end Tyler Mabry were elevated from the practice squad to the active roster. Bohanna’s promotion may be a sign that rookie Byron Murphy II, who’s questionable with a back injury, either won’t play or may have his snaps monitored if he does play. Mabry is just an extra tight end to replace Brady Russell, who’s now on injured reserve
