We’re entering the NFL Draft portion of the Seahawks offseason. How do you think the post-Super Bowl moves have gone thus far?

It’s the calm before the NFL Draft storm. The Seattle Seahawks are at the top of the mountain and the rest of the league is chasing what Seattle has, which is the Lombardi Trophy. You know, the trophy you receive when you win the Super Bowl? The Seahawks have that again after a 12-year wait.

We’ve got a lot of offseason left before the Seahawks return to the field for August preseason games and then their Sept. 9 season opener, but the biggest part of the offseason for the Seahawks has pretty much already happened. Seattle didn’t have a ton of free agents to make decisions on, and while high-profile players like Kenneth Walker and Riq Woolen are elsewhere, the Seahawks still kept most of their guys. The biggest names retained were Rashid Shaheed, Josh Jobe, Drake Thomas, and… yeah, let’s throw in Jake Bobo. Beyond free agency, the other major move by the Seahawks was Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s contract extension. Devon Witherspoon may not be too far behind knowing he also had his fifth-year option picked up, but JSN is the story given how much more wide receivers make compared to cornerbacks. For today’s discussion, we want to know how you’d describe the Seahawks offseason thus far. I see it as “drama-less” but in a good way. There have been no contract disputes, no trade requests, no massive cap casualties, no major changes on the coaching staff outside of replacing Klint Kubiak as offensive coordinator. Brian Fleury is the new guy in town, along with several other notable additions from college and the NFL. If a new OC, a JSN extension, and having to match an offer sheet for Jake Bobo is as eventful as Seattle’s post-Super Bowl offseason gets, I’ll take it.
