Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald expressed optimism about rookie defensive lineman Byron Murphy II's return this week after missing three games due to a hamstring injury. Macdonald also provided updates on other injured players, including cornerbacks Tre Brown and Artie Burns, and right tackle Abe Lucas.
The Seattle Seahawks defensive line has dealt with several injuries during their three-game losing streak, but a major reinforcement appears to be on his way. Rookie defensive lineman Byron Murphy II has missed every loss since injuring his hamstring against the Miami Dolphins back in Week 3. When asked about how hopeful he was that Murphy would play next week, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald gave a positive outlook on his impending return.
” Murphy has recorded six tackles , a half-sack, a QB hit, and three pressures in his three games played. His return would give the Seahawks a full set of available interior defensive linemen, and not a moment too soon. Macdonald didn’t have any injury timetables for either cornerback Tre Brown or Artie Burns . At Thursday night’s post-game press conference, Macdonald said Burns re-aggravated his toe injury suffered in preseason.
