J.D. continues to romance Elliot as he imparts wisdom to a new class, which includes Lucy, Drew, Cole and Maya,” reads the show’s official logline. The original series was created and executive produced by Lawrence, who, after Scrubs was canceled, went on to produce acclaimed Apple TV+ shows such as Ted Lasso and Shrinking. Besides Braff, the series also starred Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, Ken Jenkins, John C. McGinley, Neil Flynn, Dave Franco, and more. Since its debut, the comedy show has garnered positive response from viewers and critics, with 17 Emmy Awards nominations throughout its nine-season run.
