Road Policing Scotland shared an image of one of their vehicles in front of a stolen white 4x4 on a residential road in Edinburgh.

Scots police have joked that a thief had "no luck" after they tried to escape on foot following a chase.

Officers said the vehicle was reported stolen six days before and it was recovered with no visible damage. "They had no luck with that either! Driver arrested for numerous offences. Vehicle stolen 6 days ago and now recovered with no damage. #DreamTeam #CantHide"
