Nearly half of August's typical rainfall for the entire month is set to hit parts of UK this week over just a few hours.
The UK's heatwave will come to an abrupt end in the coming days as an Icelandic wall of rain is set to batter Britain, bringing 34 days worth in just a few hours to some areas.
Temperatures rose to 34.8C in Cambridge on Monday August 12, making it the hottest day of the year so far in England. The band of rain is said to be moving at a quick pace from Iceland and across the North Atlantic sea to reach Scotland which will be hit with thunder by this evening on Wednesday, August 14.
