A 17-year-old was arrested Thursday and charged with carrying a weapon in a prohibited place. A different student was booked on the same charge a day earlier.
For the second time in as many days, Schertz police have reported the arrest of a high school student for bringing a gun to school. In the first incident, police arrested a Clemens High student on Wednesday for allegedly having a loaded handgun in his backpack. Police found the weapon after they detained the student on a warrant for posting photos of weapons on social media.

Police received a tip around 9:15 a.m. Monday that a student at the center had a firearm. An investigation confirmed the tip, and the 17-year-old was arrested off-campus on Thursday, police said.
