First Alert: Heat builds today and tomorrow, storms return Thursday into Thursday night

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - For fans of summertime weather, this has been quite a stretch of days. Temperatures continue to run well above normal for early May, with afternoon temperatures today soaring back into the neighborhood of 90° easily... we will continue to mention the tiny chance of a passing shower or storm, but overwhelmingly most of us will stay dry and any wet weather we see won’t cool us off much.

Multiple clusters of thunderstorms will affect the Southeast at times Thursday and Friday, but not all of these will hit us in central or south Alabama.
