Several fire trucks on scene near the Anchorage Correctional Complex for reports of a fire, but not at the jail.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - More than a dozen fire trucks responded to a fire close to the Anchorage Correctional Complex on Fourth Avenue.

A fire dispatcher confirmed with Alaska’s News Source, the fire was not at the jail, but 13 units responded. Firefighters were dispatched shortly after 12:30 a.m. to the scene. An Enstar Natural Gas Company van was also there as a precaution. There were several ambulances on standby, but no word on any injuries. According to a fire dispatcher at 4:44 a.m. the scene was clear.A spokesperson with Alaska Corrections confirmed the fire was limited to a warehouse unit not connected to the jail facility.

No one was injured and the total damage is still under analysis, according to DOC. The cause of the fire is also still being looked at.
