The Texas heat wave isn’t done with us yet, but thunderstorms are also on the horizon for Dallas-Fort Worth. Friday is expected to reach a high of 92 degrees in the late afternoon, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.
Temperatures are expected to top out around 90 degrees all weekend before dropping some next week. The biggest weather threat for Friday will be the possibility of strong to severe storms. They are expected to develop between 4 p.m. - 10 p.m., moving east across North Texas. At a 30% chance, the thunderstorms will be isolated if they do develop but are expected to come with a risk of large hail.Isolated severe storms may develop tomorrow in the late afternoon and evening hours. Large hail and damaging winds are the main threats, with a low tornado threat.
