SAN ANTONIO - Scattered showers and a few weak thunderstorms are moving across the area right now. Some areas could see a wet afternoon to evening commute home from this rain. This patchy rain is the start of a rain chance we'll see in our region through Wednesday but overall, this will be a light amount of rain in our region.
Still, it's nice to see and will represent our best rain chance over the next 7 days unfortunately. An upper level disturbance is west of Texas over Mexico right now and providing the lift for this rain. Higher moisture is flowing in off the Gulf into our region supplying much of the moisture to work with. All areas start with the rain chance but we will see it gradually shift east through Wednesday while the western half of the area sees much less.In and around Bexar County, sprinkles, showers or a weak thunderstorm through midnight making for some wet streets. A lingering chance of sprinkles, mist or showers continues overnight and we could see a wet commute early Wednesday.During the day Wednesday, the highest rain chance will be in our eastern half of the area and in our eastern zone counties. This will be patchy rain or thunderstorms. It'll be sprinkles or scattered showers in "parts" of Bexar County Wednesday.Total rainfall will range from .01" - .25"+ in and around Bexar County. Our eastern zone counties will see .25" - 1"+ rainfall with highest totals reserved for areas of heavier rain from thunderstorms.SAN ANTONIO - A woman was pronounced dead early Tuesday morning after life-saving efforts failed when she was found unconscious at a multi-unit home south of doNorthside ISD plans virtual high school launch next school year SAN ANTONIO - Northside Independent School District is advancing plans to launch a virtual high school for the upcoming school year, following a new state law pSAN ANTONIO - Erik Cantu, the then teenager who wa shot by a SAPD officer in a highly controversial case, is now back in custody.
