SAN ANTONIO - The Texas Department of Transportation has reportedly denied the City of San Antonio's request to keep the Pride District’s rainbow crosswalks.
This comes after Governor Greg Abbott’s order to remove “any and all political ideologies” from Texas streets. The rainbow crosswalks, installed in 2018 at North Main Avenue and Evergreen Street to symbolize inclusion in the city, could be removed by Jan. 15. The city had originally requested an exemption from the state, but that request was denied, according to a November letter.TxDOT told the City of San Antonio that it did “not consider this exemption request acceptable,” citing the lack of “a signed and sealed document by a traffic engineer stating that the crosswalks are in compliance with” federal traffic safety standards.SAN ANTONIO - Erik Cantu, the then teenager who wa shot by a SAPD officer in a highly controversial case, is now back in custody.SAN ANTONIO - Northside Independent School District is advancing plans to launch a virtual high school for the upcoming school year, following a new state law pSAN ANTONIO - Crews are on the scene of a major accident involving two vehicles on the West Side. The accident happeend just before 7:30 a.m. at the intesectionDavid "The Admiral" Robinson an his company have filed a lawsuit against a former business partnerThis document is a Plaintiffs' Original Petition filed in a T
