Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Two sisters have been charged and accused of intentionally setting a fire last week on Portland Avenue that killed a 5-year-old boy.21

Emotions ran high in the courtroom as 5-year-old Malakai Stovall's mother yelled out her son's name during the proceeding. Stovall was trapped on the second floor of his home when he was rescued by firefighters. The little boy suffered burns to more than 75 percent of his body and died from his injuries days later.Additional charges related to the firefighters' injuries may be presented to a grand jury.
Stovall's family wore t-shirts with his picture to the Hendrix sisters' arraignment and said the news of the arrests brings them some relief.
