KUALA LUMPUR: The Save Malaysia rally has ended without untoward incidents.

"Our checks revealed that traffic remained under control on Saturday with extraordinary compliance by motorists," said City police chief Comm Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid.

"Although the rally failed to comply with provisions of the Peaceful Assembly Act, police took every necessary step to ensure it ran smoothly."A police report was also lodged by the organisers at the Dang Wangi police station during the rally," he told reporters on Saturday .When asked, he said the police had identified all persons of interest in connection with the rally.
