Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is 'arguably' taking the country in a direction 'better than' any other Arab leader, says Deakin University Chair in Global Islamic Politics, Professor Greg Barton. “He’s moved ahead of Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as the nominal leader of the Muslim world,” Mr Barton told Sky News Australia. “He’s moving in the right direction … whereas Erdoğan is going in a regressive direction, despite the fact that Turkey is a democracy and Saudi Arabia is not.”
