The Italian princess broke her silence after rumours swirled she was ‘engaged’ to Princess Mary’s oldest son, Prince Christian.
“However, some inaccurate information has been disseminated.
Prince Christian of Denmark, left, and Princess Maria Chiara di Borbone enjoyed a day out with friends at the Monaco Grand Prix.“I believe it is now time to put an end to this rumour,” she continued.“While we all enjoy dreaming of fairy tales, what truly matters is reality.”Princess Maria Chiara of Bourbon Two Sicilies addresses the rumour.The two royals have known each other since they were children, with their families being close.
“Christian knew they’d hit it off and was thrilled that she invited them to tea,” the source told the publication.“There’s no doubt an engagement announcement is on the horizon and the palace is preparing accordingly.”Princess Mary’s son, Prince Christian, is second from right, with Princess Maria Chiara di Borbone at far right, wearing blue.Christian is second in life for the throne, behind his father and Princess Mary’s husband, Crown Prince Frederik.
