Sarawak govt provides animal control vehicles to local authorities to curb rabies

KUCHING, March 4 — The Sarawak government today handed over 26 units of animal control vehicles, worth RM3.37 million, for use by local government authorities, million total animal control vehicles for use by the 26 Local Authorities in the state, especially to curb the spread of rabies. Earlier in his speech, Dr Sim said the public also played an important role in efforts to curb the spread of rabies, where a total of 22 cases, including 21 deaths, were recorded in the state between 2017 and 2019.
