PETALING JAYA: All seven new Covid-19 cases reported on Tuesday (March 3) were found to have been in close contact with the country's 26th patient, says the Health Ministry.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the patients, all Malaysians, were traced via contact tracing from an Uda Holdings Bhd board member – the country's 26th Covid-19 patient."Case 34 is a local man, aged 40. The patient is a paramedic and had provided treatment to the 26th case. He has no history of overseas travel. He was confirmed positive on March 3 and has been admitted to the Sungai Buloh Hospital," he said.
"The Health Ministry will continue their surveillance on the Covid-19 infection from time to time. Contact tracing for the 26th case and other newly-reported cases are currently underway," he said.
