The 49ers will pay Santa Clara $325,000, according to the agreement

SANTA CLARA — After a years-long court battle over parking for Levi’s Stadium events, the city and the 49ers apparently are on the verge of settling, according to new court filings.against the city of Santa Clara, claiming it had overpaid more than $1 million for parking at the city-owned golf course near the stadium.

The lawsuit stems from a dispute dating back to 2014 when the stadium company and the city agreed the 49ers could use the golf course for event parking. At the time, the 49ers argued the bill “did not fairly reflect the diminution of the city’s income from golf course operations.” The city countered that the 49es stopped paying “without justification or basis.”
