SAN JOSE — A pedestrian hit by a vehicle earlier this week has died from his injuries, authorities said Friday.
The unidentified man died Thursday at a hospital, two days after being hit when a vehicle veered into the southbound lanes of N. White Road and hit him. Authorities did not identify him, pending notification of his next of kin. The fatality marked the sixth pedestrian death of the year in San Jose. There have been eight fatal traffic collisions in the city this year and nine traffic deaths. In 2022, the city saw aThe collision happened about 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday on N. White Road near Kentridge Drive. Police took the driver of the vehicle into custody but have not said whether they made an arrest.
