San Diego FC celebrates the grand opening of its state-of-the-art Sharp Performance Training Facility and the Right to Dream Academy in El Cajon, emphasizing its commitment to winning both on and off the field.
SAN DIEGO (KGTV) San Diego FC officially inaugurated their new Sharp Performance Training Facility and the Right to Dream Academy in El Cajon with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. 'The opening of this wonderful facility marks the culmination of an incredibly busy period,' stated team Chairman Sir Mohamed Monsour. 'Whenever I come here, I feel a sense of peace and the environment is truly remarkable.
' The facility is unparalleled, spanning 50,000 square feet and encompassing three natural grass soccer fields, two synthetic turf fields, a gym and rehabilitation center, a kitchen, a dining area, a locker room, and a plethora of other amenities. 'This is an ambitious project. We are here to win. You heard us right, we are here to win and we are not afraid to say it. Moreover, how we win also matters,' emphasized SDFC head coach Mikey Varas. What makes this project historic is its location on indigenous land at the Sycuan Reservation. 'Breaking ground on a project that not only embodies our passion for our team but our dedication to honoring the rich heritage of this land. This complex stands as a symbol of progress, unity, and the bright future that lies ahead,' expressed SDFC Co-Chairman Cody Martinez. The facility also houses the Right to Dream Academy, dedicated to nurturing young players from San Diego and around the globe. 'Right to Dream will set a new standard for youth academies and grassroots soccer programs, not only in San Diego but across North America,' asserted Monsour. 'We aspire to win both on the field and within our community. It is not sufficient for us to merely excel on the field,' stated Varas.
