A heat advisory from the National Weather Service, warning of unhealthy levels of heat, remains in effect for areas along and east of Interstate 35.

We have settled into a predictable pattern of cloudy mornings and sunny afternoons in South Texas . The afternoon temperatures are reaching the upper 90s but feel more like 106 to 110 degrees with the humidity. A heat advisory from the National Weather Service , warning of unhealthy levels of heat, remains in effect today for areas along and east of Interstate 35 .

During the summer months, general comfort levels can be expected by using dew point thresholds: Less than 55 degrees: Dry and comfortable Between 55 and 65 degrees: Humid and sticky Greater than 65 degrees: Moist and oppressive What about rain chances? The subtropical high will weaken slightly over the weekend. On its southern periphery, a sea breeze will bring a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms daily, especially east of I-35.
