Every single city street has a grade, and the worst of the worst are called F-streets, or failed streets. Here's where they are.
SAN ANTONIO - When you were in school, you probably got a report card at the end of the year with all your grades, A through F.Every single city street has a grade, and the worst of the worst are called F-streets, or failed streets. If you've ever driven around on the Southeast side or through Downtown San Antonio and thought the roads were pretty rough, statistics show that's where the most failed streets are.District 9, which is up North, only has about five miles of failed streets.
"You're going to get damage to your cars, you're going to feel unsafe, it's really horrible," he says about driving on these streets. He says the bright side here is that his district also has a lot of A-rated streets, and when the F-streets are fixed, they'll have even more."Every mile of F-streets is about $2 million to completely rehab, and so it's going to be quite some time before we're able to fully reconstruct all of the F-streets, in not just in my district, but throughout the city," McKee-Rodriguez said.
Mckee-Rodriguez says it's important to fix the F-streets, but also important to maintain the other grades.
