Myrta Romanos, 47, currently has three charges including Tampering with Evidence, Altering/Destruction/Concealing a Human Corpse, and Abuse of a Corpse. Romanos had the Tampering with Evidence bond reduced from $500,000 to $200,000. Romanos also had her Alter/Destroy/Conceal human Corpse charge reduced from $500,000 to $300,000. Her third charge for Abuse of Corpse bond reduction was denied by the 186th District Court.Police told the media that they had enough evidence to prove that Myrta Romanos assisted in the murder case of 18-year-old Savanah Soto and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Matthew Guerra.

Authorities believe that Romanos is the stepmother to Christopher Preciado and partner to his father, Ramon Preciado.
