SAN ANTONIO — Police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect accused of assaulting a 70-year-old man on the city's West Side.

The incident occurred at 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 21 outside Big's Convenience Store on South Laredo Street near South Brazos Street. Authorities say a tense confrontation unfolded when the suspect approached the victim, sparking a heated exchange of words. The victim then stepped into a nearby store, but as he was inside, the suspect took the opportunity to vandalize his car. When the victim confronted the suspect about the damage, things quickly escalated, with the suspect allegedly assaulting him.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP . Crime Stoppers may offer a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
