A San Antonio police sergeant accused of squeezing his wife during an argument is under investigation. Sgt . Michael Guzman , 47, is charged with assault bodily injury-family, according to court records. He was arrested Sunday. He posted a $2,500 bond and was released Monday morning from the Bexar County jail. On Saturday, Guzman and his wife were in their bedroom when she told him that she no longer wanted to be in their marriage, an affidavit supporting Guzman's arrest details.
That's when Guzman punched a hole in the bedroom door and forced his way inside, the affidavit states. Guzman then took his wife's keys and was trying to leave the home in her car, the affidavit states. The wife got her keys from Guzman, but then he grabbed her from behind and bear hugged her, court records state. She told police that was in pain from her back and neck as he squeezed her. She called 911 for help and Guzman left.
